MitraSeva brought the joyous celebration of Sri Ayyappan Puja for our community. At the Hindu Cultural Society, Sri Ayyappan Puja was celebrated as a daylong event on Sunday, 8th January 2017. Nearly 150 participants have joined the celebrations, bringing joy and harmony. The Puja was performed under the guidance of Guru Sri Kalyanji and with the support of keen volunteers. Socialising with Seniors MitraSeva hosted a joyous christmas lunch and get-together for the Seniors. About 30 participants made the occassion truly a memorable one!
Digital Awareness MitraSeva initiated the Digital Awareness to Seniors, for bringing Social Media Applications and tools for their benefit. MitraSeva Volunteer Smt. Sujatha Rangarajan presented the scope and usefulness of WhatsAPP services for the Seniors, starting with a general introduction of WhatsAPP which quickly turned into lot of interesting questions and answers, and the inevitable hands-on demonstration. MitraSeva brought the joyous celebration of Ganesh Utsav for the community in the Harrow. At the impressive venue of JASPAR CENTRE, Ganesh Utsav was celebrated as a daylong event on 11th September 2016. Nearly 200 participants joined the celebrations, bringing joy and harmony. Event-02 Spiritual Discourse
The very first event – introducing the concept and vision of MitraSeva to generate ideas and actions plans – was successfully accomplished as planned – on 26th June, at Kentdon Scout Hall. More 50 members of our community came to the event, generating valuable ideas and useful engagement. MitraSeva will work on the feedback to streamline and progress with actions for the vision: Service to our Community. Please review Event
The services of MitraSeva are defined purely by the need of the community and by its needs of the hour. Focusing on our Seniors in particular, we learnt the importance of counselling, care, social visits, transport assistance, catering, social-media and digital awareness, outing, recreations and spiritual events. MitraSeva runs regular activities and events that are meaningful, timely and useful to further enhance services and the community-spirit.
